My friends are beautiful.

Photographer, Kristin Marie is awesome - I absolutely love the style of her photos and she manages to make everyone glow.

I'm Still Alive

I promise I've had some great excuses to explain my blogger absence. The last two weeks have been sooo c r a z y. Long hours at the office, a nasty head-cold, and flying up to Seattle for mother's day and a wedding! I committed a blogger no-no and forgot to take pictures...it's difficult for me to document moments and enjoy them at the same time. Anyone else with me?! This time around, I let others take the photos...now I have to wait for them to show up. Grumble grumble in the least grumbly way :)

Until then, I'll give you the one teaser I have seen up on the internet.

bonnie the bride!

How beautiful was Bons the bride?! Photographer Kristen Marie has an awesome photography style and portfolio...judging from her engagement photos of these two, I'd say she has a knack for capturing people's true essences.

I'll save all the wedding details for another post, but it was such an honor to be a part of this celebration. It's not every day that two of your dear friends find each other and fall in love. Bonnie and Pierce are two of my "life friends" from college - they deserve only the best of the best and they found it. Not one ounce of nervousness or doubt - just pure excitement for the future. It was such a joyous occasion.

All the best Bons & Pierce! Come visit on your way back from Iceland!

BR Bridesmaid Dresses

Mixed Media

Continuing my search for a flattering, black, wintery bridesmaid dress. These two are two options from Banana Republic. They're not technically "bridesmaid" dresses, but who cares right? Thoughts?

So far I still really like #1 from this post.

Wedding Season

The time has come - one of my best friends is getting married! I've known Anjuli since elementary school. I remember her moving in a house down the street...back when I had huge glasses, fluffy hair, and awkward bangs. Anjuli ALSO had the fluffly hair, huge glasses and awkward bangs and we've been friends ever since! So many memories playing at recess, sharing secrets, crunching on raw ramen and swapping Sanrio stickers! Middle school rolled around and so became the FNB and the many many Friday night sleep-overs. Remember Bloody Mary? Sometimes I secretly look in the bathroom mirror after turning off the lights...and I still freak myself out! Highschool rolled around. IB/AP classes, being a nerdy band tard, rockin' school government and ruling swim and golf teams...Anj, we've been through it all!

I can't wait to be a part of her next step in life. I wasn't around to witness her fall in love, but it's going to be great to witness her seal the deal!  She's going to be a beautiful bride and I know it's going to a Wintery day of celebration.

Anjuli is the absolute opposite of a bride-zilla and has let us choose our own bridesmaids dresses. We're looking for something black, knee-length (or maybe a little higher, for the short ones!)  J.Crew has some great options...but here marks the start of my research!
