We're very lucky to live a short bike-ride away from one of the best Farmer's Markets on the westside of town. The Santa Monica Farmer's Market is on the ocean-end of our street and it has become one of our favorite things to do on Saturday morning. Typical of Southern California, we were given another beautiful day of sunshine - ahh, is it really October?! - and we were able to get a nice selection of heirloom tomatoes, pea vine, gai lan (Chinese broccoli) and garlic-roasted pistachios. These photos are from last weekend....maybe if I hint enough Jackie will whip up something equally yummy.
